Flag Raising Ceremony Highlights Lapu-Lapu’s Heroism

The SHS department of the Mabulitec Integrated School (MIS) has successfully staged the Flagraising Ceremony on April 27 at the school’s quadrangle.

The program highlights the school’s observance of the 500th year anniversary celebration of Lapu-Lapu’s heroism that comes with the theme “Victory and Humanity.” Lapu-lapu led the native warriors in dismantling and defeating the heavily armed Spaniards colonizers many decades back.
Work-From-Home OIC (Assistant) Principal designate, Sir Julius Fernandez, formally started the program with his warm opening remarks and he was followed immediately by SHS science teacher, Dr. Erwin Tantay who introduced to the participants the speaker for the week.
A consummate Social Studies teacher, Junior High School Head Teacher I, Ma’am Jovita Garan was a hands down pick as this week’s speaker.
A perfect fit for the task, Ma’am Jovita puts the teachers in a sort of a time travel and trance, by providing short yet well-detailed history lessons in connection with Lapu Lapu’s undying heroics. Ma’am Garan shed light on what we need to unlearn and relearn about our history. Back then, internal conflicts were evident but these didn’t discourage our very first hero in carrying out his noble mission in thwarting the invasive Spaniards.
Ma’am Jovita was later feted with speakership award for her valuable efforts.
By the way the SHS Teachers showed their impeccable solidarity in the event for the nth time as all of them carried out their respective parts well. Sir Erwin introduced the guest of speaker, SHS Focal Person, Renante Orenza led the COVID prayer, Ma’am Sheila Delos Santos spearheaded the singing of the national anthem, Ma’am Jee Han De Guzman served as the event’s emcee, Sir Santos Valdez manned the Audio Visual Presentations, and Sir Eugene V. Geminiano steered the Panunumpa sa Lingkod Bayan.
Congratulations po SHS team, Sir Orenza, Ma’am Jovita and Sir Julius!

MIS Conducts GPP Benchmarking in San Carlos City

Fresh from its rousing victory in the secondary large school category of the just recently concluded Municipal GPP Search, Mabulitec Integrated School (MIS) bolster its bid further in the upcoming division level of the competition by conducting a benchmarking on Magtaking Elementary School (MES) on April 22 in San Carlos City.
School head, Dr. Christine M. Paglingayen spearheaded the small-sized delegation for the said undertaking and she was accompanied by Elementary Master Teacher, Ma’am Lily de Vera, Elementary GPP coordinator, Jaime D. Ferrer, Junior High School GPP coordinator, Julius Fernandez, and Senior High School Teachers Santos Valdez and Eugene V. Geminiano.
The principal of MES, Dr. Arlyn O. Mendoza and her teachers warmly welcomed the MIS contingent and was treated to delicious merienda and lunch.
The school’s short yet memorable stint in the MES was truly successful, since the MIS teachers were exposed to numerous techniques and best practices in creating and/or maintaining theme parks, gardens, mushroom production corner, hydroponics, orchidarium, butterfly garden and the list goes on. Moreover, the vegetables and plants that are in abundance in MES are lush and healthy, thanks to the school’s reliance on organic fertilizers, vermicomposts and composts.
The lofty achievements of San Carlos City-based school in Gulayan are indeed remarkable as it is a force to reckon with in GPP and has been a regular fixture in the regional level of the search for years.
The school which has carved out a niche in the sport of archery also boasts of income generating projects like selling their locally harvested produce and converting them to commercial products and condiments. These projects are big boost for schools which are bound for Gulayan-related contests.
Thanks a lot po Dr. Arlyn for the warmth and generosity that you have shown to the MIS delegates!

Outpour of Enormous Love Showers MIS

An enormous display of love swarmed Mabulitec Integrated School anew as the new structural emblem that bears the soon-to-be enigmatic “We Love Mabulitec IS” mantra has just been unveiled on April 23 at the school’s ground.
Nestled at the heart of the school, the emblem comes in wide array of aesthetics; a masterpiece embellished with palette of colors, and streaks of imaginative patterns, outlines and designs. A sight to behold, it was masterfully crafted by the noted artist in the Malasiqui District II, Benny Gilbert Frias who hails from the neighboring Apaya village.
The emblem symbolizes the unwavering love for the school of the principal, Dr. Christine M. Paglingayen, the teaching and non-teaching staff led by MT II Lily L. de Vera and HT I Jovita Garan, the Barangay Council, parents, stakeholders and kind-hearted donors.
Municipal councilwoman, Dolores B. Capua served as the event’s guest of speaker. The matriarch of the model family awardee in 2002, Ma’am Dolores lauds the continuous improvements that are taking place in the institution including the newly established four-storey, eight-classroom building, which is slated to be inaugurated on May 31.
PSDS Malasiqui District II, Dr. Nelia Ferrer was also present to grace the momentous event. Dr. Ferrer, displayed her charm and wit on her speech and cited Helen Keller’s epic quote about working as a potent team, “Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much.”
Dr. Nelia added, “You are making history, a historical emblem that gives opportunity for everyone to work as a team [amid the COVID outbreak].”
Division of Pangasinan I PTA vice president, Voltaire D. Tolentino, one of the school’s staunch supporters later provided a motivating message about love and unity and said that he was so thankful to MIS which he has already considered a home.
A resource speaker in one of the trainings conducted by the school not long time ago, Sir Voltaire made a pledge to the delight of the teachers that he will give token t-shirts when his term ends.
The school’s PTA president, Sir Juanito Salinas, Barangay Captain Pablo Espiritu, and the barangay councilors Virgilio Pinlac, Rogelio Mendoza, Isagani Reyes, Jackson Lambino, and Juan Arcangel were also present in the event. Sir Juanito and Kap Pablo shared stimulating messages as well to the participants.
At last the moment of truth has finally arrived. Ma’am Dolores, Dr. Christine, Ma’am Lily, Ma’am Jovita, Sir Voltaire and the barangay officials led the historical unveiling of the emblem and together with the hardworking teachers of the school inked a Pledge of Commitment pact to cement their immense love for the school.
Dr. Christine wrapped up the event with her heart-warming and inspiring closing remarks as she stated, “With our theme: One Vision, One Goal. There is really beauty and power in unity. We must be united in heart and mind.”
The dynamic school head said further, “If [the] people in [barangay] Mabulitec will work together, success will be felt... Sabi nga nila, kung sama-sama, kayang-kaya, tutulong-tulong, susulong!"
According to Dr. Christine, MIS is the second school in SDO 1 Pangasinan to adapt the We Love… cliché. With that said another feather has just been added into the hat of Dr. Christine that already piled up many improvements for the school after just little over a year of stay in MIS.
Right after the ceremony, a faculty meeting materialized and Dr. Christine announced that she is bound for a 24-day leave starting on April 26 and will be back before the inauguration of the school’s new building.
Dr. Christine said to her teachers that she will embark on career development and had announced that Work From Home (WFH) OIC-principal designate, Sir Julius Fernandez will possibly assist Dr. Nelia in taking charge of the school. She is confident that the flow of things in the school will still be seamless even without her for almost a month.
Of course the improvements including the creation of the emblem will not materialized without the aid of the donations that were given by benevolent people who have just shown their immense love for the institution.
The influx of donations had also helped the school’s successful campaigns in the district and municipal levels of the Gulayan sa Paaralan search and paved the way for the procurement of the elegant garden table and chair set, ornamental plants and among others.
Here’s the list of donor as of April 23, 2011:

MIS Stages Flagraising Ceremony, Oplan Linis Paaralan Program

The Junior High School department of the Mabulitec Integrated School (MIS) showed its fine form in staging the weekly flag raising ceremony on April 19 at the school’s quadrangle.

The event which coincided with the school’s Oplan Linis Paaralan program was graced by Brgy. Kagawad Virgilio C. Pinlac Sr. who served as the guest of speaker.
Kgwd. Pinlac shed more information about the essence of planting veggies for food sustainability in the grassroots level and stated that the Barangay Council and the stakeholders are willing to provide help in the school’s bid in the division level of the Gulayan sa Paaralan Program (GPP).
MIS recently bagged the GPP municipal title in the secondary large school category by virtue of winning over the defending champion Lokeb Sur National High School. With the feat, the school clinched an outright slot in the division finals.
Kgwd. Virgilio received a certificate of recognition for serving as the event’s speaker.
The event also feted teachers who provided help in the school’s GPP campaign. Elementary GPP coordinator, Sir Jaime D. Ferrer, and Junior High School GPP Coordinator, Sir Juliius P. Fernandez , led all recipients of the award.
The Oplan Linis Paaralan Program was initiated right after the ceremony. The members of the 4ps and a number of parents showed their love for the school by taking part in the schools project.
The weekly event will not be complete without Dr. Christine’s weekly updates and inspirational message.
The teachers together with the 4Ps members and parents were treated to a mouth-watering lugaw which is sponsored by PTA president Juanito Salinas.
To wit, Sir Juanito and his wife Margarita, who served as the school’s PTA president a year ago already donated seven (7) electric fans and two paints for the school. They also funded the establishment of the Grotto in the school.

MIS Conducts Third Lac Session

The teachers of the Mabulitec Integrated School showed no signs of slowing down as they plunged into action again, this time by conducting their third Learning Action Plan on Interim Guidelines on the Preparation, Submission and Checking of School Forms for the SY 2020-2021 (D.M 14. S.2021) at the school’s faculty room for the Juniors and SHS ICT room for the Elementary and SHS teachers on April 16.

The session was divided into two as the Juniors conducted their LAC in the morning, while the Elementary and SHS teachers performed their LAC in the afternoon.
The topics discussed in the LAC session were preparation and submission of school forms, checking of school forms, frequently asked questions on D.M 14. S.2021 and accomplishment of outputs.
In the morning edition of the LAC, JHS focal person Sir Geronimo Espiritu and faculty president Ma’am Grace Capistrano seamlessly delivered the topics that were assigned to them.
In the afternoon LAC session, Ma’am Violeta was assigned in the registration and orientation while elementary Head Teacher, Ma’am Lily L. De Vera and SHS focal person, Sir Renante Orenza discussed the topics with zest and gusto.
With the COVID outbreak, the speakers told the participants that the time and effort in the preparation, submission and checking of school forms, and the accomplishment of outputs have been reduced.
However, the teachers are expected to be stricter in the checking of attendance of the students using different forms of mediums such as social media, cellphones, distribution and retrieval of modules and among others.

MIS Nails 1st Place in Municipal Gulayan Search

Mabulitec Integrated School (MIS) has just eked out a king-size upset in the municipal level search for the best implementer of Gulayan sa Paaralan Program (GPP) as it pulled the rug from under Lokeb Sur National High School (LSNHS) on April 13.

The win at the expense of the reigning defending champion and congressional third placer LSNHS a year ago, enabled the school to gain an automatic berth in the division level competition.
MIS and LSNHS are both winners on their respective district. MIS took first place in the Malasiqui District II while LSNHS was also adjudged as first in the Malasiqui District I.
Earlier in the district-level of the GPP, the school bested Nalsian-Tomling NHS, Olea NHS and Talospatang NHS.
The school together with its dynamic principal, Dr. Christine M. Paglingayen, and the creative and hardworking teachers is now teeming with different vegetable gardens, and theme parks, that will serve as a haven for vegetables, ornamental plants and some fruit-bearing trees in the coming days.
Unknown to many, the school has made deep preparation for the contest as its vegetable gardens have been built since October 2020. The school’s preparation was in full blast from February until the municipal-wide evaluation unfurled this week.
Moreover, the school is also now embellished with an assortment of decorations, ornamental plants, trellises and vertical gardens. It also boasts of a novel garbage incinerator, compost pit, vermicompost, mushroom production corner, organic fertilizers and a nursery that that houses vegetable and fruit-bearing tree seedlings, organic pesticides, planting calendar, and seed bank.
The triumphant campaign of MIS in the municipal level of Gulayan is very significant since it registered three milestones. For the first time ever the school won in the large school category, secondary level and entered the division level of the GPP.
The school is very thankful to Mabulitec Barangay Council led by Brgy. Captain Pablo Espiritu, PTA officers led by Sir Juanito Salinas, stakeholders, 4 Ps members and to all those who provided the much-needed help in the school’s bid in the search.
The GPP is actually a joint initiative of the Department of Agriculture and the Department of Education for food sustainability amid the COVID outbreak.
Congratulations Dr. Christine, Ma’am Jovita Garan (GPP overall chairman), Sir Jaime D. Ferrer (Primary Dept. GPP coordinator), Sir Julius P. Fernandez (Secondary Dept. GPP coordinator), and to the teaching and non-teaching staff of MIS.
Municipal Champion po tayo! Next stop, Division Level naman!

MAVC Prez Donates Coupons to MIS

The strings of blessings that pour in on Mabulitec Integrated School continue as an unexpected visitor paid visit to school.

The “element of surprise” cliché is real as Malasiqui Agno Valley College (MAVC) president, Jevie De Guzman, who is fondly called Jebong by the people that know him, donates two boxes or 10 reams of of coupons to the school which is in dire need of resources amid the COVID pandemic.
The act of generosity shown by Sir Jebong is truly remarkable as he even made a pledge to provide help to the school in the coming days.
School head, Dr. Christine M. Paglingayen was overwhelmed with the benevolence shown by Sir Jebong.
She promptly asked Sir Jebong “I was overwhelmed with your gesture of kindness why you had chosen DEPED and picked our school as recipient of your donations.” The education magnate answered, “Kailangang handa kang tumulong at palaging iparamdam sa kapwa na may dumadamay sa kanila, [It is essential to provide help to others and let them feel that you are compassionate with them.]”
With Dr. Christine at the helm, the school had already amassed splendid blessings including the 19-million three-storey eight-classroom building and 20 tablets which are worth at least P100,000.
MIS is grateful to you sir Jebong and to our dynamic principal, Dr. Christine!

MARCH: Women’s Empowerment

March of every year is declared as National Women’s Month.

Anchored on this year’s theme “We Make Change Work for Women Juana Laban sa Pandemya:Kaya!,” the celebration aims to highlight the empowerment of women as active contributors to and claimholders of development.
As part of the celebration, advocates of women's rights are encouraged to sport purple clothes or accessories.
In connection, the Mabulitec Integrated School headed by Dr. Christine M. Paglingayen supported the said campaign by wearing purple clothes on March 29, 2021. By doing so, MIS teaching and non-teaching staff signifies its strong support and respond to the call to action that highlights the extraordinary roles of ordinary Juanas in the society as trailblazers and harbingers of change.
This celebration is a call for concrete, sustainable, and inclusive actions towards gender equality.
Furthermore, it is the time to delve deep into the gender issues that emerged or become more felt during the health crisis, feature women who thrived despite the circumstances and share support systems and government programs that address women’s issues and concerns.

MIS Joins the National Women’s Month Celebration

Municipal Councilor Ramelyn Sanchez served as the guest of speaker in the weekly flag raising ceremony of the Mabulitec Integrated School that was held at its quadrangle.

The chair of the Women’s and Family Environment was a perfect fit for the event which coincided with the school’s observance of the National Women’s Month.
A staunch women’s rights advocate, Councilor Ramelyn warmed the participants with her short yet substantial speech which is anchored on the essential roles played by females in our society.
School head, Christine M. Paglingayen also provided inspirational message and the weekly school update. Dr. Christine shared a heartwarming love story about former US President Barack Obama and his wife Michelle Obama.
Dr. Christine wittingly told to the participants that whoever Michelle wished to be his husband he would eventually become the president of the United States. The story merits the famous quote “behind a successful man is a woman, behind her is wife.”
Dr. Christine and Councilor Ramelyn later teamed up to provide fun and excitement to the teachers with a Q and A contest that comes with cool prizes.
As the event’s host, the SHS teachers are in unison and full force to successfully stage the event.

ICT, FFP Senior High Students Receive Learning Kits, Consumables
Amid the COVID outbreak, Mabulitec Integrated School (MIS) still continues to flourish as it found a new Technical Vocational Institution partner in Prime Brilliant Minds Academy in a simple Joint Delivery Voucher Program (JDVP) ceremony that was held on January 26 at the school’s faculty office.
An emerging vocational school which is based in Dagupan City, Prime Academy just displayed its warm side to the school’s ten (10) Information and Communications (ICT) students with a health essential kits (alcohol and face mask), learning kits (notebook, pad paper, ballpen, pencil, plastic envelope, on the job (OTJ) 32Gb flash drive, load cards and complete computer servicing packages if they would eventually complete their 40-day training.
The students are expected to receive the tools that they used once they would be able to complete the course, which is indeed a big boost to MIS since that would be valuable to them in honing their technical skills in computers further and even use the tools for earning extra income.
Present in the JDVP ceremony which was spearheaded by MIS school head, Dr. Christine M. Paglingayen and the Senior High School teachers were Prime Academy principal, Sir Urbano Delos Angeles. MIS Flag Raising Ceremony Resumes

Mabulitec Integrated School (MIS) resumes with its weekly flag raising ceremony on its quadrangle on March 22, 2021.

After giving way to the Virtual INSET a week ago, MIS is on full swing again this week and raring to start the second semester with a bang.
Kagawad Julian B. Arcangel Sr. who is in charge of the barangay Mabulitec’s health committee was invited as the guest of honor and speaker in the event. Sir Julian divulged timely essential health tips about keeping in top shape amid the COVID outbreak.
MIS school head, Dr. Christine M. Paglingayen, warmed the crowd once again with her wit and charm as she delivered the inspirational message and update.
Dr. Christine said that the public schools teachers of the nation will undergo vaccination against the dreaded COVID Disease and they are in the priority list since they are also considered as frontliners.
It was decided during the meeting that the start of the releasing of the modules for the second semester in all grade levels is slated on March 22. Two sets of weekly modules will be handed out to the parents and guardians to make up for the upcoming Holy Week vacation.
The digitized raffle promo which was unveiled during the INSET last week was used in the event and three lucky winners were picked to their delight. Unfortunately the long winning streak of Ma’am Leah Lambino on contests that hand out cool prices had just been halted, sigh.
