The COVID outbreak has kept the education system worldwide at bay for almost a year now, but that will not deter Mabulitec Integrated School from continuing on its pursuit to impart lessons to the learners and staging its flag-raising ceremony on its quadrangle on February 15.
The Senior High School department finally staged the flag-raising ceremony with resounding success after the event was cancelled twice no thanks to the reported new cases of COVID infections in the village which are now secured. This is indeed a great development since the community is safe from the dreaded disease.
Sir Ericson Centeno, a successful businessman and Overseas Foreign Worker (OFW), graced the event with zest and gusto. He warms the crowd with his inspirational stories that he had accumulated after many years of working in Qatar as an OFW and as a businessman.
The event’s speaker spilled many heart-warming stories about education, useful values, life lessons and genuine love for work and colleagues. Sir Ericson received a certificate as a token of the school’s appreciation for his worthy efforts as a speaker.
MIS school head, Dr. Christine Paglingayen was upbeat with the event and this was evident with her powerful yet encouraging inspirational talk. Dr. Christine was in the mood to give fun and excitement in the event as she initiated a pocket-sized Q and A contest and dangled out Globe loads as prizes.
SHS focal person and the event’s team leader, Renante Orenza joined the foray as he gave his unused Globe load worth P300 as part of the prizes that are up for grab in the contest.
The contest calls for the first teacher to provide the correct answer to a question that is related to education and DEPED-sanctioned Leksyon Pangasinan: Radyo Na, Paaralan Pa.
Aside from Sir Renante, SHS teachers were very visible during the event as Sir Eugene V. Geminiano served as the event’s host, Ma’am Jeehan De Guzman led the COVID prayer, Sir Erwin B. Tantay spearheaded the Panunumpa sa Lingkod Bayan, Ma’am Sheila Delos Santos introduced the speaker and Sir Santos Valdez was in charge of the audio-visual presentations (AVP).
The program ended with Zumba fitness routine that lured Dr. Christine and the teachers to showcase their impeccable dancing skills to the delight of everybody.
