The Department of Education (DepEd) wants to
ensure that all schools across the country are 100-percent smoke free. This is
the primary goal in the dissemination and adoption of the theme of the World No
Tobacco Day 2020 for the National No Smoking Month. Students, teachers, and
non-teaching personnel and staff should be able to understand the negative
effects to health of smoking. “Bisyo, Batang Iwas Bisyo” pertains to banning
smoking in schools to protect the health of our learners from harmful effects
of tobacco smoke.
In this
regard, Mabulitec Integrated School, through the very hardworking Principal,
Christine M. Paglingayen, did its job to show its support to this very
important cause. Secondary students, under the guidance of their class advisers
conducted a film viewing online the ill
effects of Smoking and posting the anti- smoking campaign in the school
website.
